Physiotherapy Fees

Who pays for physiotherapy?

Many of our patients do not pay out-of-pocket for therapy. This is because Toronto Physiotherapy is an approved provider for:

Extended Health Insurance (Employee Health Plans)
Work Safety Insurance Board (WSIB)
Ontario Auto Insurers (Motor Vehicle Accidents)

Will OHIP cover my physiotherapy?

To qualify for OHIP coverage you need to be over 64 or under 20 years of age, be receiving benefits under the Ontario Disability Support Program or Family Works, be a resident of a long-term care home, or require physiotherapy to treat a condition for which you have stayed overnight in a hospital.

If you do qualify, OHIP reimburses $12.20 per visit. As a result, OHIP physiotherapy clinics either charge you the difference between $12.20 and their standard rates, or provide a signficantly reduced service.

With OHIP licenses restricted to 94 clinics across Ontario, Toronto Physiotherapy is not an OHIP registered clinic.

What if I have to pay out-of-pocket?

Many patients do pay out-of-pocket for physiotherapy. Rest assured, we respect your health care dollars:

At Toronto Physiotherapy all physiotherapy appointments are one-on-one with your physiotherapist. We do not double-book clients, nor do we provide your treatment through support personnel.
We provide only the therapy you need, and we will empower you to supplement your in-clinic care with a self-managed home care program.
Our goal is to get you better as soon as possible - a satisfied patient will refer their friends and family!

Our mission is to offer a premier physiotherapy service, but at industry "standard" rates:

Initial Assessment (includes treatment):
60 minutes - $110

Treatment:
20 minutes - $50
30 minutes - $69
40 minutes - $85
60 minutes - $110

Physiotherapy services are not taxed.

Acupuncture can be included as part of your physiotherapy sessions at no extra cost.

Treatment:
30 minutes - $54
45 minutes - $75
60 minutes - $91.50
90 minutes - $134.50

Rates include HST.

Nutrition Counseling Fees

Who pays for nutrition counseling?

Many of our patients do not pay out-of-pocket for nutrition couseling. This is because our services are provided by a Registered Dietitian, and we are an approved provider for Extended Health Insurance Companies (Employee Health Plans).

What if I have to pay out-of-pocket?

Initial Assessment & Nutrition Care Plan (1 hr): $150

The Initial Assessment includes:

Analysis of medical history, family history, food/nutrition history, physical condition, etc.*
Development of personal Nutrition Care Goals
Development of a Nutrition Care Plan
Nutrition Education

*To get the most value from your initial assessment you have the opportunity to fill out a detailed questionnaire in advance of your appointment in order to begin our analysis prior to your first visit.

Follow up Sessions (1/2 hr):
1 session - $70
4 sessions - $250
8 sessions - $480

The follow-up sessions will include:

Goals review and modification
Progress tracking
Nutrition education

Weight Loss & Healthy Living Package: $800

Initial Assessment & Nutrition Care Plan (1 hr)
8 follow up sessions (1/2 hr each)
Meal Plan

Meal Plan: $200

Personalized 7-day meal plan with recipes
Education session to review meal plan (1/2 hr)

Registered Dietitian services are not taxed.

At Toronto Physiotherapy our acupuncture services are performed by Registered Physiotherapists who are also Certified in Acupuncture. Our fees for acupuncture are the same as our physiotherapy fees. In addition, acupuncture can be included as part of your physiotherapy sessions at no extra cost.
