at Toronto Physiotherapy

At Toronto Physiotherapy we often provide treatment to individuals diagnosed with cancer and cancer survivors. Some may experience common orthopedic issues such as musculoskeletal pain, joint stiffness, sprains, strains, weakness and postural dysfunctions. Breast cancer patients in particular may have distinctive physiotherapy needs, such as scar management following surgery, or management of swelling (called lymphedema). Lymphedema can result from cancer treatments including mastectomy, lumpectomy, lymph node removal, and/or radiation.

At Toronto Physiotherapy we have unique training and expertise in these areas, and have helped many individuals at various stages of their cancer treatment, rehabilitation, and management. Prior to pursuing post-graduate training in physiotherapy, and specialist training in Combined Decongestive Therapy for lymphedema management, Clinic Director Lindsay Davey completed a graduate degree in cancer research at Princess Margaret Hospital in Toronto.
